HK Mid-High Speaker Question...

Found this:

And was wondering, this appears to be the basic stereo, and I am pretty sure I have seen another speaker in the upper door position that had a mid range and a tweeter in front of it... anyone have a pic? Would that then be the HK speaker for mid/highs?

Here's a mid/high HK speaker (from my 2003 MINI):

I agree, your picture looks different. I don't see the midrange cone.

Yeah, no mid range... now if I could just get the cover off the tweeter in my door... do I just pry it off with something?

Just pull. There's some plastic tabs that clip in place, but no tool is needed.

I am led to believe my '06 MC HK stereo system has 8 speakers...but I can only find 6 speakers...two in each door and one in rear passenger armrest areas...where are numbers 7 and 8?

As shown and described in the picture above - the upper door position has TWO speakers nestled one inside the other.

Sure enough, I yanked the door handle/tweeter cover right off, and there it is, the mid/tweeter combo... amazing... such a tiny midrange, now, I wonder, could I just remove that mid/tweet, and replace with a good tweeter? I wonder what cross over freq is on that mid? The tweeter has always sounded harsh to me...
