October Greenville area events
Hi Greenville MINIacs,
October's a great month for motoring and having fun at EuroFest. Here's a quick run-down on upcoming MINI events.
Tuesday, October 9: MINI Drive-in at Sonic on Wade Hampton in Taylors 7:00 PM
Saturday, October 13: Drive to Mt Mitchell -details later
Friday, October 19: Dinner at Joe's Crab Shack 7:00 PM
Saturday October 20 and Sunday October 21: EuroFest at the BMW Zentrum. May still be able to register at the gate if you want to show your car. You can also autocross in a BMW on Saturday. There's a road rally on Sunday.
Sunday, October 21: SC region SCCA -Autocross at BMW Zentrum information and registration here: http://www.scsportscar.com/modules/news/
Not in October, but close enough -MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon November 2-4. Check out the thread on the NAM forum (M2C2 pages). I'm planning to day-trip it on Friday. If you're interested let me know.

I've enclosed a messge from Matt at Century with more information about some of these events. I apologize to you guys and to Matt for not forwarding it sooner. I'll be forwarding you info about events sponsored by Century when I get it. (and I promise in a more timely fashion, too.)

Dear Miniacs,
A couple of cool things coming down the Road for us, to start, check out our new website miniacs.net. Just to give you a heads up it just got started so there is still a lot to be done on the page, so give it some time before you make any opinions, but so far it's looking pretty good, also got some cool events which will be posted on the site soon, as we hammer out the details... Mini has renamed the month of oct. to motortober, so let me give you the skinny on some motortober events....
1st. Autumn in the Mountains (A british Car Gathering)Oct. 6th (saturday) we will be Meeting at century 6:30am in the morning for the 8th annual Autumn in the mountains, located at chimmy rock... This is a pretty big event and century mini is one of the main sponsers.... now if you want to register your car in the event you can go online to www.autumninthemountains.org, or stop by century and see Matt(mip). The event ends at chimney rock at 4:00, then we are going to hit the twisties up on the way back to greenville... should be a blast... hope to see you sat. morning oct. 6th 6:30am....
2nd. oct. 9th, tuesday 7:00pm we will be meeting at sonic on wade hampton, in taylors. address is 2801 wade hampton blvd. taylors 29687, we will be discussing and planning the trip to mt. mitchell on oct. 13th....
3rd Oct. 13th sat. we are going on a drive to mt. mitchell, for some aggressive twisties... and then lucnh at lake lure... hope everyone can make it... please feel forward to forward this email to any mini owners, the more mini's there are the more fun we have....if you have any questions email me at keepitmini@yahoo.com or give me a buzz on the phone...
