The I miss my MINI thread

I had mentioned this on a few threads somewhere...

Anyway, I am currently 2 weeks into a 3 month stay in Tokyo Japan. I'm a studying abroad this semester. I don't have a web-log, it's the principle of the thing I don't like.

Japan is very cool so far, but I am really missing Mayumi. I went as far as to take my key with me so that my pocket wont feel empty. I take the key out sometimes to reminisce. At times I am counting down my return, yet most of the time I don't want to leave.

Another thing that brightens my stay, besides japanese women, is the occational MINI sighting. I've seen 6 MINIs so far, and I plan to visit a Japanese MINI dealer for some pictures. The MINI seems quite at home in the croweded streets and expressways of Tokyo.

After I graduate with my International Business degree I want to move to Japan. The mountanous roads here are ledgendary and all the roads really are silky smooth.

Anyone know of any Japanese MINI tuners in the Tokyo area? I might have to stop by and buy some goodies...with schollarship money, shhhh.

Sorry that you miss your MINI, but we're jealous of your stay in Tokyo

There must be some Mini enthusiasts over there, I see Japanese Mini accessories websites here and there...

6 months and counting...

Nobody misses their MINI more than I do. Nobody... well, except perhaps those unfortunate enough to lose theirs completely (via accident, fire, flood or what have you).

<sigh>

I don't suppose I can say I miss mine, as it hasn't arrived yet, hmm? That's some audio project you've got going, I think I'll go post over there too

Mine's been back at the dealer for the last 4 days. The iPod connection isn't working, and the techs seem befuddled. I was hoping I could get it back before the weekend, but doesn't look like it's going to happen. I only got my MINI last week, so it would be nice to get it back soon.

Ive been ready with my camera to take pictures of any Tokyo MINIs I see. Here they are so far. Im going to vist a bunch of MINI dealers to.

This is a MINI in one of Tokyo's many bazzaar parking apparatuses.

Happened upon this one in Roppongi.

This is some kind of car elevator parking thing. I have yet to see it in action.

Giant turntables are commonplace at entrances to mechanical parking garages.

A "Mechanical Parking Lot" sign.

I post other pictures of tokyo upon request maybe.
