Coming this October 27 sat the Nevada Day Parade!!!!!! Will be advertising in the Nevada Appeal and The Reno Gazette Journal. We need to meet before the parade to get a line up idea. Glenn is working on a sign and I already registered us in the special vehicle interest catagory. Last year we won 3rd place and we didn't even do much. I think the judges liked us a lot. This year's theme is " Strange Nevada: Area 51 " so we need ideas too. All mini coopers are welcome and I will post our "pre-parade" meeting on this site.Any mini coopers wanting a SNMC newsletter please let me know.Private message me through this site. Sierra Nevada Mini Coopers will be meeting to discuss the upcoming Nevada Day Parade. All members and other Mini owners within the greater Reno-Lake Tahoe-Carson City area are welcome to meet with us. Have a burger and fries or just join us for a soda. We will be discussing the parade lineup and other details. Last year we came in third. This year we hope to win our division.

We will be wearing alien masks when presenting in front of the judges.Bring your own or if purchased from Vance bring him his monies parade morning. Foil antenii or "51" numbers on right side of mini facing judges or cover license plate with "area 51" whatever you like for the theme or be a plain mini just showing off how beautiful you are!!!!This should be a fun great parade starting at 10am with fly overs and then we will discuss meeting at Bully's north Carson after parade. The theme of the Nevada Day parade this year was Mysteries of Nevada—Area 51 and the Sierra Nevada Mini Coopers club showed up in force to celebrate. Ten Mini Coopers, including one classic Mini, were in the parade with foil-covered antennae and drivers and passengers wearing alien masks. Everyone along the parade route got a kick out of the sight. The judges also seemed to enjoy the spectacle of unique-looking cars driven by aliens and awarded the club Third Place.

Thanks to all who participated in celebrating Nevada's 143rd birthday by attending the parade. We look forward to more events later this year.
