Alta Front Mount Intercooler for 2007+ R56 Mini Cooper S

The Alta Mini Performance Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) for the 2007+ R56 Mini Cooper S is a huge upgrade, designed to get more power from the 1.6L engine. The Alta bar and plate core FMIC is 3x bigger than the stock Cooper S intercooler but does not have the increase in turbo lag commonly associated with larger intercoolers. Alta has seen intercooler outlet temps decrease as much as 50 F degrees, which allows the boosted motor to create an additional 15 HP and 20 ft-lb torque! Alta has also improved the core pressure. The puny stock intercooler looses 2.2 psi while the new Alta FMIC only drops 1.5 psi!.
