how to change the stripes that came from factory

Hi guys,

I ordered the standard stripes on my MCS but now I feel I like the cntered stripes are better. I asked my dealer and he said it will around 500$ for that... Is it really that pricy? or is there any other option?

Please let me know...

Thanks

Pfft Aesthetic Creations would sell those stripes for the bonnet much cheaper. And if thats for an installation price, good lord! It takes all of 30 seconds to pull the old ones off if its a new car, and it should take under an hour (way under for a professional) to install the new ones.

I'm having a professional do mine (he does vinyl work on a lot of rally cars) and he only charges $75/hour.

I ordered my MCS with the sport packages and got the stripes since they are included but really want the Mini competition stripes. I will just try to install them myself after reading through some tutorials.... which im sure are somewhere on the interweb if not youtube.

The sport stripes (the centered ones you're talking about) are only about $80 for the stripes themselves, so that's a crazy *** labor markup. Either call your dealer on his BS and negotiate him down significantly, or get the stripes and have them installed somewhere else for much, much cheaper.

Or if you want to really give them the finger, don't give the dealer any more of your money, get some stripes from Aesthetic Creations, Cooper Flags, or Mighty Stripes and then have a local vinyl place do the install (or save some cash and gain some frustration and do it yourself).
