So last night I'm on my way home from a tennis match, feeling happy as I won. I turn the corner at my local drinking establishment (Colonial Cafe' in West Deptford), not intending to stop (I live 2 blocks away), when what to my eyes do I see parked, an '06 MC (Blue w/silver roof). Slam on the barkes & pull into my reserved spot (don't ask). Why, you may ask would I stop just because I saw a MINI parked at my bar. Simple...In the 6 months I've owned my car, have I not ever observed a MINI parked outside. (Trust me, I spend enough time and money in this place to know the owner of every vehicle parked outside without having to venture within.) This is a bar where the predominate vehicle is Ford F150. Upon entering I find the bar relatively devoid of the usual cast of suspects with the exception of a group of 5 people consisting of 2 youngish (20's) couple and a women who appears to be around may age (again, don't ask). Suspecting the MINI owner to come from this group, I announce in a loud & obnoxious voice "Who's Blue MINI outside?" The my aged (note I didn't say middle-age or elderly) woman gingery raised her hand (likely thinking I just backed into her car). As my regular brew was passed to me, I threw an extra 5 on the bar & sent a beer my Co-MINI owners way....I never did get her name or find out how she ended up in my neck of South Jersey, nevertheless....Cheers!


PS To all other South Jersey MINI owners, If I spot your car parked at my drinking establishment, I'll be you a beer also.

So how many MINI drivers are you going to buy for? And are we going to have to wait until you show up or can we just put it on your tab?

 

I saw a dark silver Mini outside the Walgreens in Upper Deerfield (Cumb Co). That's a first for me! (Although I confess, did not buy her any pain relievers or Pringles.)

 

With my reputation, you can be sure that I'm not allowed to run a tab!
