I must say, PDXMINI had an absolutely wonderful trip to the Ariel Atom factory this past weekend. OK, it was "technically" to Crater Lake... but the Atom factory was right there. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Kudos to them for taking their personal time to entertain a bunch of car geeks like us.

As for the Crater Lake part: yowza! What a beautiful area. The water in that lake is impossibly blue, like a kindergartner might have colored it. And, here comes the MINI-nut in me, the roads around southern Oregon are wicked. Highway 66 out of Ashland was something out of an x-rated dream. Nice. Other drivers even gave right-of-way to the small contingent of legal-speed drivers enjoying the twisty bits (and no guard rails!).

Top notch tour. I give it a 6 out of 6.
