I've got a Mellow Yellow Cooper S coming soon (black roof) and I'm thinking about what I want to do with the exterior.

I really like the look of the carbon fiber trim items (scoop, mirror caps, tailgate handle) and I really like the look of the black sport stripe down the center. Not sure how well they go together on the same car.

I'm worried about the greyish color of the CF scoop not blending well with the pure black of the sport stripe. Anybody have thoughts on this? Anybody have pics of this configuration they want to share?

Maybe this will help. Here's a couple of pics of my JB MCSC with carbon fiber boot handle and bonnet scoop. As you can see, the carbon fiber is barely detectible... a little more in person than on these images, but still... blends very well with black even in person.

 

yellow and black are a good combo. I think I will like it.

 

My dad also has a mellow yellow and black MCS. He did the same combo that I did with my CR/B 07 MCS. Black stripes on the body and yellow on the black roof....looks sweet!!!

 

I do like the constrating stripe on the roof. That's a sweet look; thanks for the pics.

Where did you get your stripes?

 

The black stripes came from the dealer...they are MINI's sport stripes. The yellow ones on the roof were actually made by a local graphics place, then the dealer here had someone from that shop come out and apply all the stripes. My CR/B was the first one in the area done with the contrasting stripes, now it seems to be catching on.
