MINI Service in Western NY

I've been driving full-size pickups for the last 12 years, currently a Dodge 1500 Hemi. With gas over $3.00/gal., I've been looking at getting a more economical vehicle. When I heard the Mini was tall-friendly (I'm 6'7"), I gave the Mini a test drive. I've never had that much fun driving a car. Hard to find another vehicle that offers that kind of performance, economy, price, etc. I've been doing a lot of research on the vehicle. It seems to have had some problems but probably no more than most other vehicles. I am concerned about some horror stories I've read regarding dealer service. There have been good reviews as well, like the dealer in Long Beach, CA. I was wondering if there is anyone who has purchased their Mini in the Buffalo area (Towne Mini). I think it would be helpful to know if my local dealer provides reasonable service. Thanks in advance.

I just bought my Mini from Ray @ Towne a month ago, so I can't give any long-term observations, but I'm very happy up to this point. I'm sure others here will chime in, but be sure to check out the WNY Mini Club:

I had purchased my MC Aug '06 from Towne through Ray. Only had one problem with a wheel bearing, they gave me a loaner and told me it may take a week or so to get the parts, but no sooner did I get home with the loaner, they called me and said it was fixed. Other than that, my car has been no problems. Never had a better experience with any other car saleman, service, etc. They get nothing but straight A's from me. I normally cringe talking to salesmen, but the guys there seem so nice, I stop in occasionally to say high.

Just placed my order for my dream Mini the other day. An '07 BRG MCS w\blk top, chrome int\ext, with Tuscan beige leather\oak and black trim. I saw one on their lot, and I was truely smitten. Will get it in approx 6 weeks.

So can I recommend Towne? That's a big YES from me. I have nothing bad to say about these guys.

yep...Ray is so great. He has been so good to me and my mini that was ordered this past week. I look forward to working more with him. Does anyone know, if Towne gives any freebies? Thanks! AB/W MC on the way!

Mini Service in WNY

Purchased my 03 Cooper from Towne 4 years ago. For the most part service has been good - but up to this point most repairs have been under warranty. Always gave me a loaner and was also very pleasant to deal with. As I live 90 miles from Buffalo I have had most out of pocket repairs done at a local garage - alot cheaper than Towne and more convenient. Any decent mechanic should be able to service your Mini.

Towne is the best. Their BMW franchise has been rated 1 or 2 in the nation for years. MINI has just jumped to 7 in the US and Brent one of the techs is one of the best in the nation by MINI standards. You can't go wrong. Yes labor is expensive when out of warranty but you get what you pay for.
I've gotten 3 MINI's from them and give the whole dealership a big .

I have a 2003 Mini (Rochester), just rolled over 70,000. Very few trips to Towne outside of maintenance work, and have usually either waited or gotten a loaner. I bought my Mini from Greg Korduba, and highly recommend him, though I've found everyone there to be pleasant to deal with.
