hey i have the auto ac and i cant get the recycle to work. the only way it will turn on is when i press MAX but then i cant change the temp with it going off, i can only adjust the fan speed. is it supose to be like this? i would like to put auto ac with recycle

You have to press the button very firmly and hold it down for a second or two. My MA pointed out the need to press a bit harder and longer when I took delivery.

How good does the auto recycle work?

I'm always manually doing it in my current car. Does the automatic one re-act pretty quickly to bad crap?

 

I think in order to filter air coming in the snowflake button needs to be on, whether or not the AC compressor is on such as in cold weather. Has nothing to do with auto AC at all or the recycle button.

 

I have mine set to auto on my auto A/C. It got a really good test the other day.

I managed to get behind this truck which hit the gas, hard, and spewed a huge amount of crap from the exhaust. I never smelled a thing in the car. It was really cool! There is no way I could have reacted fast enough to prevent it the way the auto-mode did.

 

yeah i had to just press it hard to get it to work. i think i rather put recycle on then have auto recycle on. because i always felt that the ac worked better when it was recycling the ac. does anyone know how often the filter needs to be replaced or how much it cost?
i remember when we first got our mercades, the lady told us that we should only use the recycle and filter when we are behind big rigs or when the air is really dirty because the more we used it the faster we would have to replace the filter and it cost like $175!!
