BMW overcharging Canadians
AC compressor replacement cost me $550 from the BMW dealer in Detroit. In Canada two dealerships wanted $1250. Head office offered sole lame excuses about currency flucuations etc.
Anyone had similar experiences?

I've had this beef for a while now. I believe that MINI Canada thinks we enjoy bending over and grabbing our ankles. 
I just wish there was an easier way to get parts up from the States here on the prairies. At least out east, people can just drive a few hours south of the border...

Well, that will certainly be something to look forward to in a few more years when the warranty runs out! I've had my MC in twice now to repair the AC unit. Sure glad it's working today +34C.
