Wisconsin State Fair Daily ParadeFriday, August 10, 2007. Parade steps off at 3pm, meet by 2:45pm Location: West Allis, WI

The Wisconsin State Fair has asked the Milwaukee MINIS to participate in the Daily Parade right through the festival grounds. Sneak out of work early, then enjoy the rest of the day at the Wisconsin State Fair. The parade steps off at 3pm – every parade participant receives FREE Fair admission and FREE parking so that you can enjoy the Fair for the whole day.

Please meet by 2:45 pm - exact meeting details will be confirmed at a later date. Due to parade restrictions, we are limited to 18 MINIS. Please RSVP to theresa@milwaukeeMINIS to reserve your spot in the parade.

Nothing can be distributed during the parade, so no need to bring along candy to toss along the parade route. And, per special request, we will be in front of the Clydesdales! (We figured that the unit with the most horsepower should be in the front, plus no dirty MINIS then either.)

Given that I don't have any conflicting doctors appointment, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to skip out of work early for this. So make me a tentative yes. Hopefully I'll know more relatively soon.

So, do you think we should plan a routine (e.g. a firedrill or something equally goofy) for the parade. Although we can't spook the Clydesdales....they might run off with the Budweiser and people will get upset!

 

I'm so there, this sounds like great fun and I have not been to a state fair in years, can IL MINI's come too?

 

That would be terrible...then people might be forced to drink some real beer.

I hope someone thats good with a camera thats not driving in this event would be there to take a ton o pics. Could be a very cool event with some very cool pics. I can see the poster now, MINI's in the fore ground and Clydesdale's in the back ground would be so cool.

 

Sounds really fun, but, I can't make it. I'll be in Santa Fe at an art show. I hope you all have a great time!

Sorry - it just gets too hard for me to keep track of who wants to attend from the NAM names. Afterwards you will then get an email saying that you are "in" if you are one of the first 18 to respond, and then everyone will get a confirmation email around August 1st with details of parking and how to receive your free tickets.

Hell, I'm just excited that we'll have our first R56 at an event.

 

From last that I've heard, there are still a number spots available. Please be sure to let Theresa know if you plan to participate. Once the spots are filled, they are gone, so sign up soon.
