L.A. area Service and Rental Car

My R56 needs to go into the shop for three things: 1. Occasional noise when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear (every 20 times or so); 2. Feels like rocks are on the brakes the first time I apply brakes in the morning (then it's fine); 3. "secret" dash compartment needs to be opened (one of the first ones, and came shut). So I called the dealer and they said they'll only provide a rental for the first 24 hours. Their dealership was recently purchased and they claim they don't have the freedom to extend the free rental car. My guess is it's going to take a while to fix the above items. I'm a bit miffed because these are certainly MINI flaws, and one of the reasons I purchased the car at this dealer (there are 4 MINI dealers closer in the L.A. area) was their rental car policy. Do your dealers provided rental cars? Anyone aware of an L.A. area dealer that does, since there's little advantage to my taking it to them anymore?

My dealer (BMW/MINI of Towson) supplies free MINI loaners for MINI owners, and BMW loaners for BMW buyers, if the vehicle was purchased from them.

They also do not require an appointment...just drive in. They have a fleet of about 60 MINI & BMW loaners.

My X5 had to be flatbedded to them yesterday, because it would not start. They gave me a 335i loaner, with 1,200 miles on it. Great dealership!

What dealer did you go to? Apparently South Bay does, but I'm not sure if they require you to have bought the car from them. Calabasas does but only if you bought from them.
