Best mods for high elevation

Yep I am a newbie here, but I (actually my wife, but I turn the wrenches) have had the MCS for 2.5 years. 05 MCS. We live in Flagstaff, AZ (7000 ft)and the Mini is a bit of a dog up here compared when we go down to Phoenix.

I was thinking of doing 15% pulley reduction and CAI, but I wanted to see what the group thought of for getting the Mini at elevation to perform as it should stock out of the box at lower elevation. Basically she wants the performance that most of you see on your stock MCS at lower elevation here at higher elevation.

Any help is greatly appreicated. Thanks.

Welcome guys!

As we do all of our testing here at 6000', I know a bit about altitude. I would say anything that gives more air is better, and your ideas are spot on.

Start with the pulley and do the intake at the same time to avoid double labor. At your altitude, you can also do a 2% crank pulley for a better increase in density.

Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck in your quest for power! Those two mods should get you to better than sea level power.

Hope that helps!
Randy
