Rieger Shift **** fit MCS?

Hello everyone,

I happenned to see this nice looking illuminated shift **** on the internet. I really liked how cleaned it looked and liked how it illuminated orange, just like the MCS inner lights.

Anyways, the link to it is here

here's a site where you can order it

Is it possible that it would fit inside our minis?

The answer is probably no, if it is, are there any other ***** that look similiar to this that may fit our minis?

*Another link to one

you would need to find out what type of connection the VW Golf or Jetta has, then see if there is a way to adapt the **** to fit a Cooper. Then you would have to drill a hole down the center of the shift lever to hide the wire.

I'm sure it can be done. It just would take a lot of work, and some one with a lot of patience.

I have one of these shift ***** on my VW and it attaches to the shift rod with a ring and set screws. The rod is also "keyed" so the **** doesn't rotate. No need to drill through the rod to run the wiring. Just run the wires down the side of it, under the boot. The issues I see are whether the rod diameters are the same and the size and cut of the leather boot. VW boots are rectangular, not round as in the MINI.

I love the feel and the bling factor at night. I wanted to get one for the MINI but Reiger doesn't make one.

Thanks for the input guys,

I think I'm gonna order one and try my best to fit it in.

My stock **** now keeps popping off every now and then, I'm guessing the inside ridges are worn off.

I'll post pixes if it works out and post sad images of the **** on my shelf if it doesn't work.

If you manage to make it work, I might try it myself. My stock **** popped off in the middle of an autocross run last year and it was very distracting as it rolled around in the passenger footwell for the rest of the run. It did feel like I had a short shifter though.

Good luck with the project!
