I've been jonesing for a Mini for a few weeks now. I called around the various dealers in So Cal, and heard alot of promises and stories.

I called MINI of Universal City, and spoke with Victoria, MA for internet sales. She told me what she had coming in and promised a follow-up email. She sent that email, and we exchanged a couple of more. Turns out she was expecting a MCS in the next few days, pretty close to how I would have configured one. She emailed the info on that MCS over, and the next day I called her and gave a CC deposit to hold the car. She called yesterday and said the car was in. Today, I wander in to the dealership and was pleasantly surprised how together everyone was. She just had the car prepped and moved it into the showroom with a big "Sold" tag on the dash.

We talked for a couple of minutes, agreed on the price and off to the finance guy I went. This is where I thought it was going to go downhill fast.

How wrong I was.

Tom explained the terms, had me signing the docs, and never once gave me a hard sell on crap I had no interest in. I'm out of his office in under 10 minutes and back with Victoria. She goes over some of the features of the car, moves it out the door and gets it set for launch. A photo and a hug from her and I'm on my way.

I can't express well enough how professional and painless Victoria and Tom made the purchasing process. No nonsense, lots of smiles and out within an hour. Amazing.

I recommend without reservation using these folks for a MINI purchase. I'll certainly be back to see them for my next one as well.

So what did they charge you over sticker? I assume it's an r56?

It's an R56, and it was at MSRP, due to it being an internet sale.

 

Good for you. But it does seem that the dealers are not getting the premiums they used to.

 

Happy to hear about your experience with the MINI dealer. I a couple of days you will get a call from MINI USA to rate your experince (I did ) with the dealer. Let them know how good they treated you!!
