My car had a transmission noise problem, so I dropped it off at the dealership a week ago. They replaced the tranny, half shaft and bearing. The noise goes away (but not completely), but I'm now curious if they installed the transmission unit with the limited slip diff.
Before I dropped off the car, I did a test to see if the LSD was working properly. I put the car on the lift and left the engine running. I then turned one of the front wheels while in neutral, and the other wheel would slowly rotated in the same direction. After I got my car back today, I did the same test, but my other wheel was not moving at all. Did the dealership installed a regular gearbox w/o LSD on my car? I always informed my service adviser that my car comes with it.
I'll do another check tomorrow before calling the dealership.

Not spinning does not concern me so much. If it were spinning in the opposite direction... I'd worry.
