Moving away so I’m selling my 2006 Mini Cooper S R53, which has been a blast to own. It’s got some great factory features like the Harmon Kardon sound system, heated leather front seats, and the Chrono gauge package. Plus, it’s a 6-speed manual, so it's a lot of fun to drive.

It has a Stage 1 Tune and all the performance upgrades that go with it: a 15% supercharger pulley, JCW 380cc injectors, a competition intercooler, and a K&N cold air filter. It also has upgraded Bilstein shocks and struts, Brembo brake calipers (recently rebuilt) with large JCW front rotors, an Alta 22mm rear sway bar and aluminum trailing arms off of a R56 for better handling. It has a rear seat delete and sound deadening for a quieter ride. All in all, estimated at 225hp with a 3 speed Sprint Booster makes it feel real zippy.

Previous owner had it undercoated each year and was also in Pennsylvania so the rust is minimal for a Michigan car. It also had a full service completed at 100k (circa 2021) and was repainted to color match the roof to the rest of the car.

I’ve taken it to the track a few times, and it performed really well. Still have the lightweight track wheels on it. So whether you're looking for a fun daily driver or a car to take to the track, this Mini is ready to go.

Please Note

Had a small electrical fire at the power steering pump in the winter of 2023. power steering pump and all damaged hoses replaced by Detroit Tuned (mini cooper specialists). Car has run well since repair.

Unrelated to the pump, the AC system does not hold fluid. When inspected by the team at Detroit Tuned, it is believed to need a new MINI AC Expansion Valve Gen 1 Aftermarket #64-51-6-924-894 and MINI Expansion Valve O-Ring Seal Kit Aftermarket.
