These are off my 2004 r53 , I wrapped the chrome in carbon fiber tape that can peel rite off. 
I never had an issue the 3x years I had them and I'm including 2x extra bulbs also i had for them I never needed...
I sanded and cleared them 1.5yr ago. Pics show them well.
I did use alittle rtv to hold shut the washer doors as I unhooked mine but you can push them open and clean it off as I only used a little bit..
iM also throwing in a set of new carbonfiber look doorhandle covers to match the headlight trim.( that's a protective wrapper on them , they're not scratched. They're brand-new )
