I have F56 JCW Steering with paddle shift.  My car originally came without the paddle shift so I replaced it with one and used it for 3 months before I sold the car stock.  It is in mint condition.  If you have F56 Auto you could enable the paddle shifting with Bimmercode, at least, that's what I was able to do.  Please do your homework and do it with your risk.  The install was pretty easy.
