Does anyone have experience with installing a rear strut brace on an R56 JCW?

I saw a carbon fiber model that attaches to the rear seat latches. From the photos, it seems as though the rear seats then need to lock into the extenders, which makes your rear passengers even more uncomfortable.

Is it worth it???

Save your money. A true brace would attach the chassis at the strut tops, not the strikers for the rear seats. besides, with the MINI's rear subframe and independent suspension design, rear flex is not a huge issue in handling. Start other places like, rear swaybar, front camber plates, and good tires.

I have most of those mods except for the camber plates. What do they do for handling?

Helps turn in by reducing understeer. Allows you to move toward more neutral handling.

Any effect on reducing torque steer?

It does depend on what you are describing as torque steer.

I think it can help. But it primarily to rebalance the car to more neutral handling. Also reduce your tire pressures a little (to perhaps 36 psi instead of 38 psi) helps as well.
