2006 non heated seat question

1 Attachment(s)
I have a 2006 Checkmate, my question is I want to add heated seats to my non heated seats and I have read that some have the elements already installed from the factory. My issue is I can’t find anything showing what the connector looks like. I have four connectors under my seat but they all have plugs connected to them. The connector that looks like the one from the retrofit kit has a pluc connected to it. Does anyone know if my seat has the wiring and the elements pre installed and just need the control panel and a fuse installed, or it doesn’t have the stuff preinstallwd and I need to get a seated seat kit with elements. I have searched all over and can’t find anything that shows what the last two plugs are on my seat.

There is a recent thread here someplace discussing this matter. I was one that thought the harness would be in place as the fuse block is prepped but I think somebody came back and said you had to buy a separate harness.

I think that the heated seat have 2 black connectors. My 2006 drivers seat has yellow, blue, black, and black connectors with last black connector being for heated seat. I retrofitted it and had to buy the wiring kit. No wiring connectors found at the switch. But when I added heated mirrors to the same car it had the 6 pin harness for heated mirrors. Also not sure if it matters, but pretty sure it is a "warm climate" spec car (they list hot and cold climate versions on VIN decoder) as it was delivered in Orlando

Do you have a pic of your connectors since you did the retrofit?

I am good with buying the retrofit kit, just trying to figure out if I have the elements, if not I am going to buy a aftermarket kit

Well from more research looks like I do t have the elements

The kit I bought came with the switch but there is a part number for just the harness. Then you can buy a used switch. Should be cheaper since the kit I bought was $200 from ECS

I dont think you have them in your checkmate, it was dependent on the seat option and if it came with it, its hit or miss on if you have them. I dont see it one yours?

Should look like this:

Also in that link is the install PDF and the kit 61110145996 as well as the little known, 61100152025 cooler seat and 61100152026 hotter seat booster wires. I have the hotter ones in my R52.

Thanks for the info, I did figure out I didn’t have the elements in my seats so I ordered a kit off ebay
