dome light?
--Ive posted this already in stock problems but no one has been able to help me so i'd figure i would try my luck here.
I replaced the Dome lights with a 39mm LED festoon. it was kind of to big so i bent the two little metal connectors to fit it. It worked fine but last night i noticed the light flickering. I went to go adjust it and one of hte metal arms snapped. What are those metal connectors called and where could i pick one up..im assuming its a very common part at stores like home depot. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...s/IMG_0157.jpg |
My guess would be auto parts stores.

You may have to just solder it back together. If the LED dome light you got doesn't fit right try our WMW dome light it works great.

Or call Mini Recycling 866-330-7623,
Maybe getting the unit will be faster and easier. They ship UPS |

|
what about trying Radio Shack or Frys ?
|
I've got an 04 MCS I'm parting out. I could get you that one if you wanted.

I will check radioshack in my spare time over this next week.
Hopefully they have it. |
When connecting LED lights instead of the regular tungsten bulbs, I learned that the MINI system doesn't like the very, very low current draw and therefore causes the LEDs to flicker. I did a thread several years ago when putting LED strips in the boot. I had to add a resistor, about 1000 ohms I think to bring the total resistance up to something the MINI computer liked.
Just a suggestion. YD |
