What's up guys?! So since i changed out the rear brake pads and didn't change the sensor, I got the light. I went to my friends and cut open the wire and twisted them together. Reset the light and voila, never have to change the sensor again!

So last weekend was the Devens Championship Tour. Day 1, was great! I drove very well. However it wasn't enough to catch the leader. HS is a tough bunch!

This is my co driver. As you can see, he's very far from the cones.

I'm just tighter than he is.

On day 2, the course was much faster! I think I hit the limiter 3 times! I drove horribly on Day 2. First run was my fastest clan run. Everything was dirty and I overdrove the 3rd run. Note to self, don't change anything for the 3rd run setup wise. I let out too much rear tire pressure when all the other runs I didn't touch anything. That costed me a place up a trophy spot. However still held 4/13 for the last trophy spot! This was my first ever national trophy!

Here's the new drive to events look. LOL

So today's Autocross was the local BMW club. I was in a class with 15 people. I didn't realize I was until I saw the live timing. At first I really hated the course on the 1st run. There were so many braking zones. The more I drove it, the better I liked it since I stopped using the brakes and just lifted off the throttle. Here was the fastest run to win the class!

Today I did a local SCCA autox event and let's just say I didn't do as well as I normally do. I was 2s behind the leader and 1 second behind pace.

Hi all. Just went to another local event yesterday. It was a fun course but I blew the flex pipe. It's gonna get a new one hopefully on wednesday when my co driver takes it to the exhaust shop. I also saw my right front bilstein started to leak. I made another order for FCP euro for a replacement. Hopefully nothing else breaks ever!

Cars like Porsche have dry sump oil systems to keep engine from becoming oil starved during repetitive hard cornering...is running a baffled oil pan suggested/recommended for events like this ?

I've only heard of one person running a baffled oil pad and he made it himself. I've never see one for sale. I have seen an add-on baffle for a R53, but personally didn't think it would do much. My experience and what I have read is that if you keep the oil pan full you won't have a problem. According to Harry's lap timer I push over 1g cornering on the track to put a point of reference on that comment. I think the biggest problem MINIs have with oil is when the auxiliary water pump for the turbo dies, the oil gets cooked with any hard driving. Hope that helps.

Maybe a difference between the oil pans of the R53 and R56?

The baffled oil pickup I have seen was for the R53.

I think there's just more development for the r53, there are baffled pans for the r56 not many offerings and more expensive

So I did a Test n Tune at Solo Nats today. 91 HSL did pretty good. She improved. Here is her best time.

And here is mine.

PS. On the way here, I hit some tires and bent the ac condenser which also bent the radiator. Luckily nothing was leaking. However the e fan was rubbing on the cooling fins. SIGH. so as a temporary fix we got some washers and spaced the e fan out a bit.

Best East course, I totally missed the showcase apex...

Best West Course. It's a lot better and moved up 3 places.

After Solo Nats, I went to my local BMWCCA Auto x Club. It looks like I still got it! I was the fastest non S mini which doesn't say much since I am the only Non S mini that shows up anyways. this was my hero run. I can't believe I'm about 2 second behind a mildly prepped DS mini.

Fastest scratch from Sunday. Right after this run, a fiesta ran the same time and both of us would've tied for 2nd/10 drivers. But I coned it. Grant Reeve, former SSR champion beat us both by over a second.

Hey guys,

it's been a while. I have been autoxing and forgot to upload. This one is from today!

I couldn't get any faster in the afternoon unfortunately. Also the brake light came on. I checked and it looks like my fronts need some new pads. So I put in an order for some Hawk HPS for the fronts.

Yeah. I'm going to keep at it until I pay the car off.

SSC? That's the problem with street class. Some car will dominate for 3-4 years, then it switches because something faster comes along and gets buried. Higher prep class- car breaks more often and you run the risk of not having available parts and having to fab up your own. what i'd like to see is someone make an EP Mini. that would be sick!

Anyways yesterday was my last autox of the season. And it was raining. The last 3 autox events i went to were all raining like wtf. Front tires are all bald.

First autocross of the season. This one was in Jersey. I left a lot of time out there. The car is a blast to drive after this long winter!

It's been a while! Here's from yesterday once the rain cleared up. This will be the last event the mini will be taken to.

So it looks like I will have to get rid of my MINI. I am expecting a baby boy the week of Solo Nats and I am in need of a 4 door car. I am sad to have to see this car go. This was one of the most reliable autocross cars I have ever owned! It was also very fun! I would hope other MINI owners would let me drive their Minis too.

However I still do owe money on it and will have to trade it in. I am looking at 2009-2011 Civic SI Sedans. I will be pulling the shocks and JCW springs off and posting them for sale if anyone wants them. I will also have the Rota Slipstreams for sale too since they're tiny and legal for HS.

Just watch the video. Nicely done! That looked like a tough but interesting course. I wish we had a place like that to do autocross.

Best wish on your new arrival. We’ll miss your adventures.
