Hello, I'm thinking of joining the MINI Cooper family. Been thinking about it for a while, and my uncle has one he could sell to me. (I haven't seen it other than pictures).

Only thing is this car doesn't have cruise control or an aftermarket stereo. I understand this is a common issue for people to install, and it generally costs a lot and needs to be done at a dealer for correct programming.

The lack of cruise control is a bit annoying considering that I'm going to be doing a little cross country driving, but do-able. Anyone successfully do this without doing a whole retrofit? I would have the two-spoke steering wheel, so that's even more work than if it were a 3-spoke wheel, I think.

But primarily, I want to wire my subwoofer up to the stereo. Is this an easy process with the factory radio? Are there just RCA outputs in the back of the stereo deck? Also is there an 8th inch audio input in the factory radio? I understand replacing the stereo deck is pretty difficult compared to other cars and can cause other issues.

Usually I can figure these things out with a google search, although most of the results I found were uninformative. But if anyone can answer any of my questions, that would be great. Thank you!

07 MCS? Do some research on NAM, it is probably the most problematic year..
