Turbo Heat Shield Recall?

I just got this in my email: This email is to inform you of a Turbo Heat Shield Recall on your 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman.

Is this legit or is this a new "gimmick" to get me to come to the dealership? I called them and they said it "may or may not be a problem but that they wanted to do an inventory" . I live 300 miles away from them and do not look forward to the trip, and besides, my mini is a 2009 Clubman.

Its here, but last i heard it was not a recall but an update on certain years
, so when the MINI comes in for service they change it.

Ask the dealer if they will ship you the part since you are 300 miles away.

It is a small clip on shield with some heat shield material attached to it that is plug and play.

Takes 30 seconds to clip it onto the turbo oil line pipe.

The oil line heat shield is a day late and a dollar short, it doesn't stop or fix the true problem, I wouldn't be too concerned with getting the car to them all too soon for it.
