First Mod: Shift ****

Did this on my F56, and now on my F60. I *HATE* the stock ****, both how it feels and how it looks. To me, this is 100x better in both.

The top is illuminated, but I haven't yet worked out where's the easiest access point to tap into. I don't want to have to dismantle the entire console to do it, but I'll find something one day. It's illuminated in BMW Orange. I have pics from my F56.

I bought it from ICT https://www.innovativcar-tech.de/.

The boot is real leather, unlike MINI's. Extremely good craftsmanship!

How easy is the install? Looks nice. I'd want one with red contrast sticking to match our steering wheel.

Quite easy, if you're reasonably handy and careful. Wiring is also easy once you figure out where to connect to (and 12V source that turns off with the rest of the dash lighting). I would go for the CLA, but ours don't pull out, so still pondering this. You can also order it without illumination too, and it's slightly cheaper that way. Illumination is just for show.

Gotcha.
What this car really needs is a short shift kit.

There is one. Check the F56 and F54 Fora. Cravenspeed makes an adjustable one.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured it would be better to use this one instead of creating a new one.

Anyway, I want to change out the manual shift **** on our 2019 countryman and am having trouble finding compatible replacements.

i really like the **** that was in our 2006 MCS, but the service department says that it won’t fit on the Countryman.

any advice on where to find replacement shift ***** or maybe a video or pictures (I couldn’t find any for the countryman) on the removal of the old one and possibly the install of a new one.

TIA
