Hi everyone. Loving my new 2017 MCS 4 door. One small issue - over bumps or big cracks in the road the B pillar (right next to my ear) has a rattle/noise. It's faint but definitely there. I've tried pressing the pillar and moving the seat belt mechanism in there around but it's dead silent and doesn't seem loose.
Anyone have the issue? Any luck in repairs? I'm not letting the dealer close to it unless someone says they have had the issue too, and it was fixed. Thanks!
BTW - I have the smaller 16" loop wheels and stock suspension.

My F55 has the same rattle. Its maddening. My wife in the passenger seat cant hear it, however since it is at "ear level" for me I can hardly take it anymore.

I wonder if it is the mechanism that detects a quick stop and then locks the belt. I have a F55 and don't hear it ... fingers crossed.

I have it in my F56. It comes and goes. I hate it too. I had my dealer investigate it. We think it's airbag-related, but they did not/could not fix it.Originally Posted by Zazoh

100 miles on my F56, and I hear the same noise in the same place... Drives me crazy. I have noticed that it is more pronounced with lower temps. I've tried to localize it more precisely, pressed everywhere... No luck thus far
I must say, I'm surprised the F56 does it too. They are different B pillar designs from the F55. Maybe a TSB will come out from MINI to alleviate the noise.
