Ya think? Let's go with a resonator and NO mufflers . . . I don't think even Graham would do that on the street . . .:lol::lol:

Longboard Mini Mar 8, 2006 03:57 PM

That is the muffler.

That is the muffler at the start of the system. It is a new type of muffler.

VictoryDaveAZ Mar 8, 2006 04:56 PM

Would be nice to hear from someone who has it. I like the clean look of it and on the cars they have it on the sound is not too loud. I sent them a request for more info so will have to see what they say. If anyone gets any more info please post it.

Longboard Mini Mar 8, 2006 05:43 PM

They are real close to my work so I will contact them and see what I can do to get more info and maybe some sound clips.

I to like the way the other cars sound on there site and would love to hear what it would sound like on a mini.

If it's at all quiet, that's a cool lookin' system!

garretwp Mar 8, 2006 07:07 PM

I do not like the placement of the muffler, this would cause much trouble with anyone with a Short shifter! But looks like some nice potential! We need some sound clips, i bet it is loud though! And much less restriction!

I wonder if this exhaust will even fit with automatic trans?

VictoryDaveAZ Mar 8, 2006 07:31 PM

Looks like others have discussed this exhaust in the past on this site. They are saying very loud and costly at $1200. May have to pass this one by.

Funny. It's for an MCS but the pic is of an MC.

Nah i'm not getting one. I just emailed them for a price for you guys. I like my magnaflow!

androoz Mar 15, 2006 02:38 PM

I just spoke to them on the phone. The way they tone it down is by using a resonator type tips. They wouldn't give me a price, but turned me on to their distributor, Crevier Mini in Santa Ana. The answers i got to my questions were such that I'm probably going to do this exhaust soon. There is an add on resonator right after the muffler for those that want a more mellow sound, but they did say the tone while cruising (without resonator) is very good. Weight savings is about 37 pounds according to them.

I got a $699 quote from them via an e-mail query several days ago. (I posted it on the wrong thread ("headers"), and they claimed "89db" in snswer to my asking "how many db". They didn't say anything about how they measured that db reading and I didn't ask. I looked on the sticky exhaust thread here, and db is (surprisingly to me) NOT one of the exhaust attributes listed there. So, who knows?

Strom Mar 16, 2006 08:04 AM

I've seen these on cars at Crevier - in fact, I think they tried to sell me one when I purchased my car. From what I remember, it's pretty loud, though not as loud as some of the exhausts out there (Borla Race, etc.). I'll have to check it out next time I am back at Crevier. If they have a car with one, I'll take some video and pictures.

Sorry for necro posting but they are based near my house, I havent herd anything from their mini but they single handedly made a Hemi charger sound like complete crap.
The term ricer applys.....

That doesnt sound good at all. Im curious, people are saying the zoomers is mad loud and then they compare the level to magnaflow or borla. I like the sound of both of these but is it really obnoxiously loud?

Wake|MCS Apr 6, 2008 04:34 PM

I have a Borla Sport and no it's not ridiculously loud. I don't find it very loud but after having people drive my car and me hearing it several blocks away I guess it's kinda loud.

MINIGURU@WAY MOTOR WORKS Apr 6, 2008 06:33 PM

I had one on my race car a couple years ago. Was pretty good for power and not too heavy. But it was kinda loud. Also it didn't look near as nice as it does in those pictures. It was welded together very sloppy and looked like they used several cheap off the shelf parts to put it together. Ended up putting in on a customer's car and he still has it to this day, and pretty happy with it, some people do tell him it's too loud though.
