Gonna get a base line run in before you install it?
Hmmmm..... Well I am putting on a catless dp also so maybe. But I also have an AP. So I will see what I can do.

Yeah it's gonna be rough to notice what the gains are from since the DP/tune is gonna free up a good chunk of power and decrease spool time as well.Originally Posted by Porthos

Mostly its the work involved I want to do it all in one sha-bang-abang.

What.......ear plugs are overrated. It won't be that loud. My last car was loud this one will be a dull roar.

Trust me it will be loud. every time we did a dyno pull Jan would cover his ears or walk out of the dyno room.Originally Posted by Porthos

I ran staright pipe on a normally aspirated 4 cylinder on my last car. It sounded great but you could barely hold a conversation while inside. But until I get it on the car I really won't know.

You will see a peak gain in Hp and TQ, but it will be all in the top end of the RPM range, like 6k and up. Below the 4.5 k range it will loose almost as much as it gains up top. You can basically picture the dyno looking like a bow tie with the before and after lines. With out a tune a catless DP isn't worth it.Originally Posted by Underoath
How much power would you pick up with the 2.5 catless dp on a car with no tune?

You think I am kidding I took a quarter and gave it a flip. It landed on heads which meant I was getting it.

Since some dealers/installers of the new JCW kit are not installing the included manifold (there is supposed to be a TSB on this saying it is not required on US cars) because it is much more time consuming. I have to wonder if this is the source of these manifolds. AKA: leftover partsOriginally Posted by jackyiscxd
This manifold looks exactly same as the one included in the 2011 JCW Tuning kit.http://www.waymotorworks.com/jcw-joh...-for-2011.html

Thx for the good info, wouldn't the catless dp make te turbo spool faster? And WMW did not post gains from the exhaust manifold? How are you going to sell a product with very little info about it..Originally Posted by Mike@Tech Division

I really doubt there is going to be any real gains other then better turbo spool and better exhaust flow

With a tune you should see good low, mid, and high end gains. TBH AP, catless DP, and FMIC are a really good start out combo for making an MCS pretty quick.Originally Posted by Porthos

I have a catless dp, I have a JCW factory exhaust which I found out to run Stage 3 Alta AP I need to get a catless exhaust.

I'm interested to see how this turns out... I am also interested to see what the source for these parts turns out to be...
I have another week before I get it installed once I do I will everyone know my reactions.
