Any Mini drivers taking on "the glen" on sept 18-19 PDA/NASA-NE HPDE event? I'll be there on 18th and was curious if there will be any other mini owners joining me (I did a event @ pocono on 8/20 and was the only mini there ). Info can be found @

18th - my son's B-day, the 19th...my wife's B-day. Otherwise I would have been there.

I bailed the Pocono event...I heard it rained a lot???

 

I'm there on September 27-28 with the Boston chapter of BMWCCA. Sorry.

 

I ran on the 20th, the long course, single infield, counter clockwise, weather threatened but never rained, actually was quite nice by morning. That was my first track day (only did auto-x prior), it was a total blast and had to do one more before the season is out

 

I'll be there on the 18th! It'll be my first driving school. Just wondering, what type of helmet do you have, and where is a good place to find one?

 

Needs to be a snell SA 95 or newer. They'll let you get away with a motorcycle helmet (M-snell) but prefer the Speciality applications helmets (SA-snell). You can get moto helmet from any morotcycle shop, but if you want an SA snell, gotta find a racing specialities shop. PDA does rent them for the day if you can't get one in time.
