Anyone going to Barber end of May?

I'm absolutely dying to go, but that weekend is graduation weekend around here and I just don't think I'll be able to get away.
I've heard it is a beautiful track and a blast to drive. I'm wishing for some sort of miracle, but I'm not holding my breath. I wish a bird would land on my husband's shoulder and tell him that this would be the ultimate birthday present for his "hard to buy for" wife, sigh.....

Annette,

There are quite a few opportunities to drive out at Barber each year with various groups renting the track for the weekend. I won't be able to make this one, but I'll do it again sometime.

I would suggest avoiding SCCA events and going with smaller club events like Porsche, BMW, and others. SCCA tends to squeeze too many people onto the track at once for my taste.

It is one incredibly awesome track and I do need to go drive it again, especially since it is in my backyard!

This one is a BMW event, 27-29 May I think. I will make it a goal to go Barber in the near future, and make sure you and PPE will be there as well. That would be a great way to get some "hang" time in since we didn't get to at the Dragon.
I've bookmarked the Heart of Dixie BMW site, since I think that's the club that would sponsor the BMW Driver's Schools at Barber, right?

Yucca and I attended the Inaugural Races at Barber back in 2003...what a GORGEOUS track! Be sure to go to the Museum....what a collection of vintage motorcycles and some sweet cars, too!
