Signed up online just a minute ago... awaiting confirmation.

Is anyone familiar enough with the motorsportsreg site to know if people showing up as "on hold" means that the event is already full?

Dunno about BMWCCA, but most other organizations place registrations on hold until payment has been confirmed. This may mean their paper work as well.

Hope you make it

I'm still showing up as "pending review". It doesn't look like anything has changed in the attendees list since Monday.

Hey Greg, did those belts show up?

Only one did, unbelievable..!
The other is hopefully on it's way. I'll call them again today.

It seems that DEs are getting hard to fill this year, so I'm sure you can still get in.

I'm in!

Any ideas on where to stay the night before? I'm coming from the north, so someplace on the way but close to LRP would be good - doesn't have to be right next to the track. Cheap is good.

limerock

I was thinking of going to Limerock May 6th. As a rookie can someone tell me the requirement for the car? I have a 03 mini with stock wheels, and rear sway bar only. Thanks RR

The BMWCCA site(s) will give you the detailed requirements, but it boils down to:

* Your car must not be falling apart
* Your brake fluid has to have been changed in the last 90 days
* You need a helmet made within the last ~5 years

For the first time, it's a good idea to bring the tech inspection form (from the BMWCCA sites) to a garage and have someone look over the car / change the brake fluid. Get yourself a helmet and show up!

Go to post #7. click on Patroon website. Print TECH FORM. It should have everything you need. Car must be inspected before hand.

We're getting closer!

I don't think I've received any more details about this from the BMWCCA... what time do we need to get to the track? I tried finding that detail on both the Patroon chapter's site and the motorsportreg site, and failed.

Yup, I'm on there as "confirmed". My question was more "when" do I need to be there that morning. But, I got a response from Ron Bass:

Gate opens at 6:30 am. Tech and registration open at 6:45 am and closes at 8:00 am sharp.
My car is getting close to being ready. I need to decide if I want to use the Ferodo 3000 front pads I inherited from someone else, and if so, when I want to put them on (drive down to the track with them or swap them in that morning at the track).

And Greg needs to send me my belts I guess since I haven't paid for them yet, I cannot complain too loudly though.

Oh yeah... my full name would be Jason Ross, and I'll be the guy driving the slow, brown Cooper.

I want to make a counterpoint video to the "300 HP MINI" video that showed up here on NAM - a "100 HP MINI" version.

Change your pads before hand. I personally wouldn't want the pressure or hassle at the track.

yours is brown, mine is pure silver - roof too - see you there Jason.

I'll be there...

I've been lucky enough to have not had a track day in the rain yet. Just how wet does it get inside the car when you're running around with the windows open?

You only worry about the car getting wet when you are not moving once you get rolling it does not really bother you, in any case I usually bring a few towels to dry off the door panels.

Unshaven, they are very good. I use them as an intermediate tire as do many people who race. When it's real wet though I use Hoosier rains.

Thanks Greg Maybe you can teach me how to down load pictures when I see you...

I'll be there between 6:30 and 7:00am...pure silver with black TD wheels.

Who wants donuts? I'll put up a very large chocolate chip cookie for best time of the day. No, I normally do not eat this stuff.
