Wiwood clearance on track rims...

Hi all - I'm running 15X7 rotas with a 40 offset. I have 5mm spacers, and the wheels BARELY fit over my 11.75 wilwood kit. They actually fit under the rim fine, but I have weights kind of crappily placed so that they just fit under the caliper when the wheel spins. I can fit a piece of paper folded a few times between the weights and the caliper, but I'm wondering what is appropriate space for track use. Does everything expand with heat? Will these weights cut into my calipers, or vice versa? Should I have the weights moved? Thanks for all of your help.

I hope it was the paper that folded and not the caliper.

Move the weights. Have the tires rebalanced. If there is a need for a lot of weight on a wheel might want to have them spin the tire on the wheel.

Yes it was the paper; please excuse the poor grammar. Thanks for the tip - I'll take the front tires over to STS asap. I don't want to have to buy a new track setup or go to larger spacers.

I'd say ask "way motor works" they use a similar set up. i'm sure they'd be glad to help out.

they are under the vendor directory.
