my new MINI pics!

Chris and I went to Fort Hunt Park Sunday morning and he shot the new MINI. There is a photo bucket link to all the pics below.

Tried to embed the images, but sadly there seems to be no way to resize them *in the post*. I can't resize the source images because they are on Photobucket in Chris' account. So, you all will just have to browse the link to see more!

Nice Pics... ACTUAL SIZE and everything.

Wow, lots of '07s seem to be one of the silver colors. I like that color with the white roof/stripes/mirrors... sharp.

Wagnbat Mar 13, 2007 10:24 AM

Looks good. Just out of curiosity, how many MP is your camera?

z3bum Mar 13, 2007 10:53 AM

Chris took the photos using a Sony digital. I think it is either 3.2 or 5mp. The black and white pic is actually infrared, and therefore difficult to focus.

Nice. That is the color I really like. Can't wait to see you on the road!

Jeremy1026 Mar 13, 2007 05:53 PM

Lots of Silvers and Lightning Blues out there in the 07' world.

billie_morini Mar 13, 2007 06:51 PM

Very exciting you have this new auto. Nice big pictures, too

MINIclo Mar 13, 2007 06:52 PM

Mike, PLEASE re-size these to be viewable within the normal margins of the page. They are very difficult to view as posted. Thanks.

z3bum Mar 13, 2007 10:24 PM

Hi. What's the best size? Can I insert a command in the link for that?

Hi, Mike. 800 x 600 is better. I do not know how to insert commands. That's too technical for me. :o:roll::lol: Maybe someone else can advise?

heyjay1428 Mar 13, 2007 10:35 PM

lol ITS LIFESIZE :D hahaha just playing. nice it would be nice to reduce the size but i still saw it haha MORE MORE MORE PICS! :D

heyjay1428 Mar 13, 2007 10:36 PM

oh by the way does yours have the above the glove compartment storage?

z3bum Mar 14, 2007 07:10 AM

The passenger side storage compartment seems to be a Europe only option. Much like the parcel shelf for the driver was on the old Coopers. I want a parcel shelf! Anyone have the latest BMW/MINI ETK cd that has all the parts and options for the car yet and want to share? Trying to resize pics a bit too.

Hey, nice mini. I like the new front end on the 07's. You also picked out a nice color. How is the power on the new turbo motors?

Scavenger Mar 16, 2007 11:21 AM

I noticed you have the plate holder on the front. Seeing where the towhook hole is located, it looks like the no-holes plate holder will need some minor modification for the R56.

Im glad you brought your new baby to the 'cruise' on Sat. It was pretty cool seeing one out of the showroom on the road. Now I want to take a test drive:thumbsup: Not that I want to get rid of Soulfire...don't get me wrong, I LOVE my baby....Just wondering what it is like. and I LOVE that color.

HEY YAH I THINK THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE (KEYLESS ENTRY) SYSTEM

bluminiboy Mar 19, 2007 01:33 PM

I saw an R56 out on 95 last week while I was driving home, he didn't see me though.

nice R56!

Good Pics, Great car!

z3bum Mar 19, 2007 05:57 PM

The little black buttons on the door handles are part of the convenience opening feature. They lock and unlock the car when the key is in your pocket.

Power from the new engine is quite good. Merging onto the beltway is effortless. Of course you really have to watch the speed! 60 mph is barely 6 seconds away and 88 mph only a few seconds after that and already too fast for Virginia roads. The car is a blast. I just wish the torque-steer were a bit more manageable.

Everything else is great, fit and finish are much better than the 2002 cars, and the new electronics seem very cool so far.

Mach V Dan Mar 19, 2007 06:08 PM

Looks good, z3bum. I concur on the power and the torque steer. The car is fast, but there's definitely some tugging on the steering wheel, especially if the front end gets light (like you go over a rise) while you're accelerating hard.

I think I have the only '07 with plain old manual climate control. My options list is pretty short: MFSW, HID's, LSD, sport suspension.

Here's what it looks like:

(Sorry, another large pic.)

Wow, that's purty, my second color choice! Towson had one with a sunroof, bluetooth, auto everything, and blue leather/cloth seats, but it was pretty expensive, and I am trying to save some money for trips, driving schools and the like!

Ok. Found a way to resize pics and park them in the gallery. Here are some of the best ones so far:
