Missouri River Valley Ride, April 25th

Ok, this is what Ray and I came up with for Name Tags. We could possibly change this based on other ideas later but for this weekends event this should work as a start. To complete the tags for everyone that plans on attending this weekend, please provide me the following information:
Forum Name:
First Name:
State: (if other than Nebraska)
Mini color description and type:
Mini name {new addition that I may put on the name tag if possible}
I'm pulling the pictures from the "What If" link if I can find a matching color based on your MINI's description.
I need this information ASAP so I can have time to grab the images and do the final printing of the name tags. We have plastic holders with neck cords. But if you wish to supply your own lanyard, you could do so. The ones we have are just basic thin white cords.
Here is an example of what they will look like: The Spouses name will have the same forum name but with the - BF following it (Better Half) unless anyone has any objections to that.

We tried to put it on. But the images I'm getting off of the What If? posting has a slight gray background behind the images. So I had to make the lower area the same gray background just so there wasn't a square outline around the car.
The C.O.R.N emblem has an all white background. So if I put it next to the car it shows up with a white square border. I'll still see what I can do, but if I can't get it looking nice, then maybe a later revision.

Thanks to everyone who made the ride! The weather was breezy, chilly, but the rain held back for us. Spring has sprung as they say, and it was fun to see all the blooming trees and bushes against the new leaves on the trees.
Thanks to Mr & Mrs Smieska for taking us on some interesting roads in Iowa again!
To everyone who helped create the name tags a huge Thanks! They look good, and served their purpose well at stops and dinner time!
We look forward to Motoring with you all again!
Photos of the day we took are up in our Gallery.

It was terrific to see everyone yesterday! Next time I hope to have Vera back -- so, Rainman, I shouldn't accidentally climb into your car again.
I have posted some photos in my Smugmug account. Take a look! Here's a sample:

That was a funny moment Tancred! With two black MINIs and two yellow MINIs, it wasn't the only case of mistaken identity. I almost picked up a co-pilot at one point!

I'd never been to the Dragon before. I had a good time, hundreds of cars and probably a thousand people, plus the roads. The Hell Bender and Tail of the Dragon were nuts. My sat-nav was set up as a co-driver, to show me the next few curves - no surprise hairpins. I put about 1,000 miles on my car while staying in Fontana Village, and my tires were all but eaten up. I didn't just cruise either, on some days I used two tanks of gas, but on average, it was a tank a day. My average fuel economy was something like 14-15mpg. The trip out and back was roughly 34-36mpg.
I still need to order my photos from the Dragon from Killboy. He didn't get much of me since I usually ran at 8am, or after 7pm - just when the road opened or right before it closed, remember the rock slide?
Coming back, I had to drive through all of that flooding rain in Tennessee and Kentucky - on nearly bald front tires. I may have slayed the Dragon at least 10 times, but it sure as hell slayed my tires. So all that rain made the car a little sketchy. I had to slow to only 45-50mph.
On my return trip, I stopped in Chicago to test drive a used Caterham. That car made my MINI seem like a lumber wagon. I was able to drive it on the service roads of an Autobahn Country Club - like a regular country club, but instead of golf there is a road course. Then the car owner, a guy who builds Caterhams for a living and one of the authorized dealers, took me for a dozen hot laps of the track. That car could pull more than 1g in the turns, and nearly 1g in deceleration.
I'll definitely be getting one of those in the next few years.
I do have some photos but I need to upload them.

I know this has gotten a little off-topic, but I like the floating topic kind of threads. It makes it more like a conversation. Besides, I don't think anyone minds and no other moderators really come into the Nebraska section.
A 1993 Super Sprint, lowered a bit, and with race slicks. But I was mostly there to see if I could fit with my 6'4" height and size 12 feet.
I had to Google Caterham. Which one did you drive?
