Just a warning for those who want to do an ECU upgrade. I guess the 06 is completely different. Very odd. Not sure why Mini did this. SO, anyone wanting to do an ECU upgrade, stay tuned.........

We did figure out how to get into to it thanks to some coordinating through Eric at Helix and GIAC. The Unichip works fine with it though - it is just the flashes that are thrown...

It is a totally different beast though - and we are hoping it is a precursor to the Prince motor!!

I have tons of pics of your car Craig - I'm going to do a build up posting soon.

Sweet! I am looking forward to it. I'm going CRAZY over here in Mizzou waiting for the STX BEAST to be completed.

I didn't realize the Unichip would have worked. Anyway, I'm real glad that you guys/Helix/Giac were able to get it cracked.

Based on my experience with the throttle body on the MC, the '06 MC ECU appears to be different as well.

Is there any chance that MTH is already aware of this, and/or their flash already works with the '06 MCS?
.
