Our old, wonderful Saris 3 bike rack simply does not work on our Mini, which is a shame. It was stable, easy to use, folds up to nothing, lasted 10 years without a problem, etc. etc. No can do.

Watched the video for the Mini rear-hitch rack and there is no way I'm doing all that assembly/removal every time I ride. (No real garage, we live in a city).

So what are your recommendations for a roof bike rack, people? We have 2 light (titanium) road bikes. I'm only 5'5" so lifting it up alone is going to be an issue. We have a sunroof. In the winter, I ski so a rack that could be swapped out in the winter would be great.

I'm starting from scratch here. Some concern for theft of the rack (would never leave the bikes on the car) when parked on the street.
