Cool, last time I checked the ferry schedule, an east coast trip usually takes less than two weeks, while a west coast trip will almost double that time .
So how long generally will the inland transportation take?
Now to think about it, I probably should have placed my order with an east coast dealer to save time... and may be some money, 3500 odo won't stop me, hehe.

I believe you will be on the CARMEN, which sets sail on 2/11/06 and docks in Port Hueneme, CA 3/6/06. I'm not sure if that's the correct port for CA though. Schedules can be checked here http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...countryList.do

I beat you all, at least at this point , "production completed and waiting to be released to the carriers". Now I know I won't have it until mid March, you guys will surely catch up.

docjohnboy 02-01-2006 01:18 PM

Some people in the Week 4 thread have mentioned that they are on ships that are not a part of Wallenius Wilhelmsen, so it may be possible that our cars come a little earlier. possibly. *crosses fingers*

Also, my MA told me that the price increase depends on when the car is wholesaled to the dealer, not when it is unloaded. For my dealer, he said that is after the car goes through the VPC.

I called on 1\28 and the automated line said "In Production estimated completion dated Feb 7"

Today I called and talked to a live person and they said " the factory has accepted the order but real production will not begin until tomorrow Feb 3" He did say that once it begins it has only been taking 5 days to finish.

So I guess I have slipped into week 6

This is my second post on NAM. I ordered my 06 MCS Dec 2006, I was told Jan 25th it was in production week 5 and I was given the VIN. Jan 31 production was complete and it is currently on Jingu Maru enroute.
You may be able to track your VIN on this ship by using the Booking Number provided in my status history below. When you track by Booking Number on http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do it provides the VINs of all cargo on board.
Jingu Maru arrives Halifax 16/02/2006, New York 16/02/2006 then a few more stops...
Booking Number is: GBSOU393979

docjohnboy 02-03-2006 09:33 AM

woot! Updated today to released to a carrier and waiting for transportation to the port of exit! My MINI exists out there... *swoon*

docjohnboy 02-03-2006 09:45 AM

I just checked on the WW Auto Cargo tracking http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto and My MINI is showing as Received at terminal and booked on INTEGRITY, not Freedom! Integrity leaves 2/4, and is scheduled to arrive in Charleston on 2/18!!! That's a Week earlier than the Freedom! I'm so happy :)))

jibeho 02-03-2006 10:50 AM

In the Paint Shop today still saying Feb 7!

Hong . . . thanks for the shot of Integrity. I've been unable to find a good one. That other Integrity is a Great Lakes hauler by the same name.

hong 02-05-2006 09:07 AM

well, seems mine missed Don Pasquale

Most vehicles with the same booking number were already loaded on the ship, the most recently one was loaded at 15:16 while current time is already 17:00, and Don is scheduled to departure at 18:00, not good. Guess they have the 'first booked first loaded' policy.
About 30 vehicles haven't made it so far.

bluzeke 02-05-2006 09:30 AM

. . . sorry to hear Hong . . . take it from one who's been there . . . it sucks being a "r.a.t." watching "your" ship disappear over the horizon . . . Keep the faith - your ship's probably coming down the Straits soon.

daemon2 02-05-2006 09:35 AM

Thanks!
