Just got this sweet chili red 2012 Mini Cooper S a couple of weeks ago. Only 36k miles on it!

Good looking MINI. Welcome to the forum and the MINI experience. What are your plans? Keep it stock or modify?

Thanks miniCPA.

I'm thinking keeping it stock for now. Not sure I’m ready to spend $$$ for speed mods.

Maybe some small additions to the interior like an armrest for long road trips would be nice. Also, I would like to get the black trim painted chili red eventually to match the rest of the body. I’ve seen some dechromed Minis and that looks like a cool change too.

Tell us a little more about your MINI. What options does it have? What brought you to MINI? etc.

Sure thing Boxsternaut.

About 10 years ago or so I worked down the street from a MINI dealership and I would walk by the dealer every day on my way to lunch. I test drove a couple of the cars at the dealership and I fell in love with them. I ended up buying a 2005 Mini Cooper S and I loved that car. It had great handling and I loved the supercharger on it and the interior was so unique compared to any other vehicle I had driven before. Unfortunately, I had to get rid of it a couple of years later because of an electrical problem. After that, I had a 2011 BMW 335is for a couple of years but keeping up with the maintenance was expensive and it wasn't as fun to drive as the MINI. I drove a 2014 ford fusion after that for a bit but then I couldn't help myself any longer and so I began a 4-month search for a 2nd generation MINI with low miles. I found this one out in Sarasota, FL.

As far as options this Mini isn't anything crazy on features. It does have heated seats, but I am in Florida and those are rarely needed. It is a hard top which I like better than the sunroof, due to the Florida sunshine the interior of my 2005 mini was always hot and I wasn't a fan of the mesh cover.

The only downside is that these cars don't come with bluetooth, luckily I had my bluetooth set up from when I had the BMW.

All in all, I am super happy with this MINI. They are just so much fun to drive. All I need is to come up with a fun nickname for her...Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are ready for the MINI experience. It is hard to fight the urge to modify and keep them stock.

There aren't many cars that so many owners would consider modifying.
