Hi! Just moved to Bay Area several weeks ago. After having ditched a 2005 325i and a 2007 CRV before leaving Minnesota, I am car-less. Wife and I went car shopping our first week and decided on a Countryman after considering a VW Tiguan and a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.
We've had our custom order in for a Cooper S Countryman
ALL4 with MINI SF dealership for 4 weeks now. Midnight Gray. Shes pretty well loaded (cold weather, tech, loaded, JCW interior), though I opted for not getting the JCW edition - I didn't care much about the exterior details and the engine seemed like too much $$ for too little performance improvement.
I've been lurking around on here for a few weeks and already thinking about getting Manic installed on the ECU once I've taken order - sounds like that would bring the hp of the S close to that of the JCW. Still, I am concerned about potentially voiding warranty. From what I've read it is just very important to find a service writer & tech that will be cool and cooperate with mods - any leads on that in the Bay Area would be much appreciated.
