I am an avid car enthusiast that has been consumed with MINI mania for a few years now. I am excited to finally own my first MINI. I just purchased an 04 S. I was wanting an 06 or newer but found this one recently and it was too good of a deal to pass up. It is a manual with all black leather. The previous owner upgraded the stereo with all new speakers, an iPod adapter, tinted windows and brand new Michelins. I don't think the tires have 500 miles on them. It has very low miles, so after months/years of searching for one in a very mild paint scheme I made the purchase. :D

I really want to keep it simple in the future. No engine mods, mainly just fog lights and a bike rack. I've owned a 68 lincoln continental, 85 AE-86, riced out Honda Civic among other vehicles. This is the most fun car I have ever driven. Pure MINI love.

I prefer to keep it more of a Daily Driver rather than go nuts with a engine and exhaust mods. I need it to be comfortable for long road trips. The riced out civic just wasn't cuttin it. I'm on my 3rd engine with my civic. I used to road race my civic, it's completely modded out with teins among other mods. It became a money pit and I can't go through that again. LOL.

Thanks for the welcomes. I just haven't found or seen a ton of mods that I would like yet. I pretty much bought the MINI exactly how I wanted it and how I would have if bought it from the dealer. It has the black leather that I love. The only thing really missing is some rally lights and maybe a front splitter. It's an amazing little machine. I'm sad I'm stuck in a blizzard and can't be out driving.

Well if you want the cheapest "bang for your buck" is a http://www.waymotorworks.com/02-06-cooper-s-r53/performance/pulleys/] .

After that i just love the supercharger whine so i did a cold air intake. Again, if you dont wanna spend a lot just get a cheaper one, or do a hot air intake for like 40 bucks.

in Chicago here - purchased my Mini 12/23/2010. 3 hours on the road tonight - and the little guy handled phenomenally! and as a bonus; i got to experience a longer ride in one sitting than I normally do - comfortable and non-tiring. i actually liked the sliding out of the back tires on a couple of take-offs! gotta love the run flats

Nice! Thanks for the headsup bro. One of my buddies told me about upgrading the pulley. When you did yours, do you have any extra wheel spin? I've heard that if you don't have limited slip then it can have a one wheel wonder.

Yeah, I'm in Oklahoma. It is crazy!! There are spots where we have 12-18". I am not leaving the house for the next two days.

.
I changed mine to a 15% a year and a half ago, the reduction pulley absolutely just wakes your car up, so yes, you get more wheel spin because your getting more torque and power, but nothing that changing to performance tires cant do

Just use the search button on the top right of this page, it literally has every answer you could possibly want

Nice... Ya know how I posted, "no mods"? Well, this snow storm has trapped me in the house long enough to find many many things that I think I may be purchasing soon.

Thanks for the heads up Achilless.
