Hi! This is my first post.
I'm picking up my new Mini Cooper S tomorrow and I'd like to be more proactive in protecting it from all the dings I got on my previous Mini caused by living in New York City. Are there attractive protectors available for things like bumpers and door edges?

Welcome aboard, and grats on your purchase!
I believe some have had a protective film (3M) applied at the dealer, and I'm sure you can get the same treatment from other sources too. A friend of mine had a clear bra put on his new Toyota truck but I could see a pretty distinct line where the film stopped, even from a distance.
Depending on the color of the car I'd almost rather have one of the old-school bras that covered the nose of the car.
Make sure you post some pics no matter which way you go - we love to see new members of the family.

3rd Gear
I have a BRG mini with the clear plastic protection over the forward portion of the bonnet and bumper. done at an independent shop for $595.00. Nice job, and was money well spent.

Yes there are some vinyl/plastic parts for edge surfaces but they actually protect others from your door attacks. I suppose one could hire a 24/7 attendent to watch for the enemies, but the cost seems extreme. Park and pray!
