Quote: Yes, same dealer. I think they just add it standard to every order and hope you pay for it. But it seems in reality they fill all the tires this way anyway.
But do you really think they are filling the tires with it? Maybe topping off and balancing the pressures but shipped from the manufacturer they should be just right when they leave.

I'm not sure what the dealer does when they get the car. Normally the tires are very over inflated while being shipped. The dealership should set the correct pressure. From what I understand the machine they use can 'flush out' the air and swap it with nitrogen.. at least a very high percentage of nitrogen.

I never use (higher concentration) nitrogen because it's a pain in the butt and not worth it to me.

Checking tire pressure regularly should be part of any car owners regular routine. I have two driers on my air tool setup at home so the rusting TPMS argument doesn't hold much water (heh heh) for me.

the last test i read of tire pressure gauges on consumer reports said the average error of all gauges was 2 psi ... hahahahaha

the difference in loss is less than the avg error of the measuring tool

want to buy a bridge? hahahahaha
Exactly my thoughts.....
At $5....might be tempted...
But at $70 PURE DEALER PROFIT AND MARKUP.....
RUN....then check your tires for air with the tpms... Add as needed...likely every 3 months or so.

Quote: They charge you $60 and take your car in there and put air in the tires. Then they charge you for a shot of premium tequila and put Rotgut in your marguerita. Yeah baby.
I hope they topped of your "blinker fluid"..... Seems many drivers are out!!

And the wiring harness smoke, seeing as it is a British car?

Mine is thru Advantage Mini of Clear Lake also. Car should be coming off the ship in Brunswick today if I got the ship correct, so hope to have it in 1-2 weeks. No adder on my spec sheet for Nitrogen. Will see what they say about N2 in the tires when I pick it up.
