Coilovers & 205/55-16?

2009 Clubman S, daily driver - Massachusetts, separate set of winter tires/wheels. Megan coilovers - dropped about 1.4 inches from stock.

current summer setup -
205/50-16 Continental ExtremeContact DW which have been a good tire for my needs, but they need replacing

I'd like to get another set, but they are no longer available in 205/50-16. So I'm thinking of going to 205/55-16. I know that this size will fit on a non-lowered car, but do the Megan coilovers have enough adjustment to raise the car high enough to clear these larger tires?

The other alternatives that I'm thinking of are-
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 195/55-16
BF Goodrich sport Comp-2 205/50-16

Comp 2 is a really well rounded summer tire. It doesn't have the maximum grip of a DW. For most people this is plenty of grip.

Yes, they should clear with room to spare.

I have 225/50-16 tires (RS3's) on OEM wheels, clearing front and rear wheel arches after ~1.5" drop. The closest rubbing concern are the outboard rear tires rubbing on the rear of the wheel arch/rear bumper.

Forget about 195/55-16 - way too few decent tire options in that size (though I did have RE760s on another car a few years ago - a decent, inexpensive rain tire. But nothing to write home about).

Limited selection in 205/50-16 (-1.53% taller than stock), but a TON more tires to choose from in 205/55-R16 size. Also near stock in rolling diameter (1.77% taller than stock). Including Bridgestone RE-11a, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z-II, and Hankook RS3's. All will give you more smiles per mile than DW's (also available).
