ReAr window stuck down

Hey. I have a 2005 JCW convertible that all of the sudden, the rear right triangle window wouldn't come up anymore. It makes motor noises when the button in pressed, but it won't move. Living in Arizona, I need to get this window up! What can I do?

The rear side windows in the convertible work in unison when going up and down.

For a temp fix if you can grab the top of the window while someone else presses windows up button on the overhead panel, you might be able to get it to slide up. Whe the rear windows all all the way down they still have a little bit of glass exposed. Just be careful , its glass.

Here is a diagram for the rear window.

It could be the rear right track is jammed, since you can here the motor, or the motor is weak or the gear on the motor is damaged. You will have to look down into the window slot. Or remove the whole section to inspect the parts.

Thanks for the info. I've tried pulling it up with pressing the button, nothing is working. I'm thinking its the regulator since before the window was wiggly and sometimes falling down, this time it fell down and got stuck. Sadly this all started to happen within a day so I'm not sure what caused it. Ill just have to get a new part.

Your welcome.

Possibility jammed, it slides up and then forward a little. To get the glass out it has a gear , you will need a tool to adjust the alignment of the glass. Its a tool that is thin to reach down and turn the tightening gear on the glass connection. Its easier to do it with the tool.

Here is the mounting hardware for the glass. you can see the tightening gear in the top of the pic. Those go through the glass two bottom holes and connect to the regulator.

Thanks and good luck on the repair.
