Squeal brake, can remove n regrease?

Hi all,

My brake been squealing for months, I checked there is still alot of pad left. I can't take it anymore, can I take everything out and regrease it and reinstall? Do I need to recompress the piston again (since I'm not change to new pad)?

Please advice.

Thank you so much

yes you can but I'm not saying that will solve your squeal. While in there I'd check for any significant scoring on the rotors. Could be a pad has a flaw or something like a small rock worked its way in one pad and is cutting the rotor.

no ... you only compress the piston to make room for new pads.

have you isolated the noise to one corner?

If the pads have worn into the rotors the sides of the pads sometimes rub on the edge of the groove making noise
Hard to explain but it makes a ridge around the outer edge where the pad does not overhang the edge rotor
