This may seem silly to some... but I have a 5-year-old, so take it in that context :

My son wanted a Lego MINI Cooper. I looked around and couldn't find anything. He doesn't yet have enough part to put somthing like that togehter either (some small things missing, windshields etc.). So I went online to www.lego.com to see if anything like that was offered.

I struck out... but I did find the "Lego Factory", where you can build stuff online and order what you designed and built. So I made a MINI Cooper S for my boy and had the pieces sent to me for $15. OK, actually, I was so proud of myself I got 2... one to leave built on my desk with my other MINI models.



If you have any interest in getting one too, you can go to: http://factory.lego.com/default.aspx and search for Creation Name: "MINI", User Name: "msh441" and Category: "Cars". It should pop-up. Sorry. Chili Red with Black roof only (brick colors are limited).



It would make a great gift for that kid, grandkid, niece, nephew, or for yourself. One more step in convincing your friends and family that your nuts! I don't get anything for this... I just thought there might be a few out there that thought it was kinda' cool, so...

 

That is so awesome. My 8 yr old LEGO fanatic took one look and is trying to make a convertible for me right now .

 

Also need the password to use with your username I think.

 

I think that if you do a general seach... find it... then click on "Check Price" you can then click on "Add ToCart" and order whatever items in the factory that you want.

You might need a password to edit the model and such, but that shouldn't be necessary... it's perfect! (kidding )

If you seach "MINI Convertable" under cars, there's one of those there now, too.

 

That's really cool. If i can't do one on my own, I think I will have to get me one of your fine creations.
