I smogged the car last November with the exhaust with no problem. I have a stock air box gutted to run like a JCW (more air and a K&N cone filter) and it passed.
I bought mine as a weekend car but became a daily with my new job. It's louder than stock, but not fart-can loud. It purrs at low idle and gets louder at WOT, that plus the warble and popping is AWESOME.
You can do the cheap muffler upgrade and 1-ball the stock exhaust. Keep it looking stock, but some better flow and a bit louder.

i saw your selling a milltex cat back, im also in Bako, im wondering why your going back to stock with everything, getting ready to sell? smog problems? can you get your car smogged with that exhaust? i just had mine smogged and removed my CAI just to be safe but i think they would have passed it with it on. also im wondering what the noise is like with that exhaust mine is a daily driver im just looking for performance and not much loader than stock im kinda building a sleeper.
